PUBLISHING OPTIONS AND MAGAZINE ISSUES

Although this is a new business, the owner is not new to the book publishing field. As a self published, as well as traditional published author, she has met with the many pitfalls that new authors meet when trying to get a book published. She has had experience with many of the different forms of publishing, which include: vanity presses, self-publishing presses, e-book publishers and traditional publishing companies. She has had the experience of being burned by some of the so called vanity presses, as well as experiencing rejection from the small and traditional publishers.

The publishing process offered by our company is called POD and this is Print On Demand. With this option the company uses the POD printer that the owner herself has used for several of her books. Here we can type, edit, and proofread your book. It is saved to the disk and then uploaded to the companies' POD site. You will decide on the cover design and with input from the publisher set the price for your book. The book will then be placed on the owner's website storefront with you as the author. We will then market and sell your book. As the storefront is already listed on numerous search engines, you can be assured that your book will be seen. Your book will be sold at bookfairs, book conferences and workshops that the company feels it fits. We will look at any book but also want quality not quantity. If the book is deemed publishable but needs work we will work with you on the editing in such areas as spelling, grammar, punctuation. We do not alter your content just its mechanics if needed. Traditionally authors see ten to twenty percent royalties but with Twin Sisters the author sees sixty per cent royalties. As we are a small company we work with several print on demand printers. Therefore, your royalties will be more if book sold from our store front versus when it sells from Amazon, Barnes and Noble or Borders online stores.
